What changed
- Connect OpenRouter or a compatible API to a computer you own.
- Keep browser permissions within a task and see its private screenshots on the web.
- Start tasks from a compact plus button and discover models reported by your connected agents.
Your models, on your computer.
Open AI → API models, choose an online computer you own and connect OpenRouter or an OpenAI-compatible HTTPS API. Add your key, check the connection and choose a model when creating a task. You can change the connection or disconnect it from the same place.
The connected computer runs the work. Your key is stored there outside project folders, not in your VECTA account. This first version supports text conversations and project files, with approval before writes. Shell commands, browser tools and hosted cloud execution are not included for API models.
Less repetition. The same control.
When an agent asks to take a screenshot, inspect a page or scroll, you can remember that permission while the task runs. Repeated requests for the permitted action no longer interrupt the conversation.
Permissions stay with that task and its running session. Review or revoke them from the task controls; other browser actions still need their own approval.
The screenshot belongs in the conversation.
A saved browser screenshot now appears as an image in the web task conversation, with a larger view when you open it. Images follow the task’s access rules and are not published as public download links.
Update VECTA on the computer that runs the task to sync screenshots it still has, including older captures. A screenshot whose local file is already gone cannot be recovered.
A clearer place to start.
The compact plus button makes starting a task easy to find without crowding the navigation. The task header gives more room to the conversation, and permission controls stay close to the work they affect.
Model lists refresh from installed Codex and Claude metadata and from connected API catalogs. A new-model marker appears only when a trusted release date is available; discovering a model for the first time does not make it new.
